Egg donation can be the only option for some, especially for women with advanced age, single fathers, etc. The aim of our egg donation program is to try and fulfil as many requisites as possible in an egg donor. These not only include the medical screening criteria, but also include characteristics that may be important to the parent.
Egg donor selection: Finding the correct donor can be an ordeal. At Surrogacy Experts, we can make this process easier for you. We try our best to match the ED with the characteristics suggested by you.
The following are the pre-requisites you need to provide us with:
1. Age limit of ED
2. Colour of skin
3. Colour of hair
4. Height
5. weight
6. Any specific appearance (such as oriental, Caucasian, etc)
7. Education
8. Religion
9. Any other specifications
We ensure that the Egg donors undergo all the screening tests as suggested by the ART regulation (Bill and Rules) Draft 2008. This includes an infectious disease screen and ruling out genetic conditions like Thalassemia and Sickle cell.
Once an egg donor is finalised, her cycle is synchronised with that of the recipient of the embryos. Stimulation of the donor’s ovaries and preparation of the recipient’s uterus starts simultaneously. After the retrieval of the eggs, they are fertilised with sperm and the resulting embryos are then transferred to the uterus of the recipient (who may be a surrogate in some cases). The recipient is also started with injectable progesterone from the day of the egg retrieval.
The pregnancy test is done 12 days from the day of the embryo transfer.
